Group set to replicate success of Solstice Park, Amesbury with new development in Swindon
The RO Group is delighted to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Home Farm in Swindon. Home Farm, which is located on a busy road junction on the A420 Swindon to Oxford road with c22,500 cars passing every day, is the ideal location for the Group to develop a strategic mixed use scheme that will generate job opportunities for Swindon and cement its status as an important regional centre for commerce.
The excellent prominence and location of the 9.7 acre site offers potential for a number of different uses including roadside retail, industrial, logistics and storage. The Group will develop a new scheme that will be an attractive location for companies looking to establish or expand their operations in the region.
The blueprint for the Group’s new development in Swindon is its hugely successful Solstice Park development in Amesbury, a well-established node for the country which was carefully designed to accommodate a diverse range of businesses.
The Group has a successful history of development in Swindon having previously developed the RO24 industrial scheme at South Marston Park.

Home Farm extends to approximately 9.7 acres (3.7 hectares) and forms part of the greater New Eastern Villages development plan consisting of around 8,000 new homes, new schools and community facilities. The New Eastern Villages is set to be one of the largest greenfield developments in the UK.
Its strategic location and excellent transport links make it an attractive choice for businesses looking to establish themselves in the region. Swindon also benefits from the Great Western Railway line running between London and the South West and Wales. This has created demand for housing in the region as it becomes a more accessible location, commutable to both London and Bristol.
