Sevenoaks property sector rebounds strongly

The RO Group is delighted to announce that Stonebond Properties, housebuilder and property developer, has entered a five-year lease at One Suffolk Way, Sevenoaks. Following a difficult period over the Covid-19 pandemic for new lettings generally, the property sector is rebounding strongly. It is significant that the new letting at One Suffolk Way is to a property company, which amplifies the new vigour in the local property market.

David Kershaw, Group Real Estate Director, the RO commented:

“As the owners of commercial buildings in and around the London commuter belt, we are seeing a significant increase in demand from businesses looking for quality office space in these areas. The UK is returning to work, and in that respect life is returning to normal. However, what has changed is the historical focus on central London. Lockdowns, modern technology, flexible working hours, and a rejection of long daily commutes are all trends that have combined to unleash centrifugal forces pushing businesses and people away from major city centres and into places like Sevenoaks, known for its wonderful quality of life and its relatively short distance to the capital for those days where a London meeting is still necessary.

One Suffolk Way is an important commercial hub for Sevenoaks and is an imposing office building with generous on-site private parking. It is prominently situated in the town centre and is convenient for local amenities and public transport facilities. Sevenoaks railway station is a less than ten-minute walk away and junction 5 of the M25 is also within easy reach providing good access to the southern motorway network.

One Suffolk Way is also the first Fitwel certified multi-tenancy building in Kent. The Fitwel scheme is the world's leading certification system that optimises buildings to support health and wellbeing. Everything in the office space has been designed to create an inviting environment that improves occupant health and productivity. Employee wellness is an increasingly high priority for all modern businesses and this office certification not only puts employees’ health and wellbeing at the heart of the workplace, but also provides employers with formal recognition of these benefits.
